my mommy makes me wear this harness, er, speedo

yowzers it is HOT out there. nate and i are trying to beat the heat with a little $2.99 carport swimming pool action. it is THE place to be this summer.

today, our air conditioning went out (i know, right? it's just not our week!) for a brief period (four hours) this afternoon. since karl is still not feeling quite up to par, we decided to pay for the after-hours man to fix it. i kind of felt all spoilT about it (i mean, really, how much of the world lives sans climate control?), but daaaaaaaaang when it turned on, it felt, uh, kind of amazing.

huh. air conditioning. who knew i would miss you after only four hours?

post titled inspired by THIS.

  1. Love the speedo. :) We don't have a/c here, but it's really not necessary since our temps haven't gotten above 90 all summer. Glad you're keeping cool.

Oh yeah. One time my mom gave me a Coke and a candy bar...and I pulled the car home. I was tired. :)

  2. one day our power went out and about an hour later I felt hot. i think you just got spoiled to it. we went out to eat until it came back on. plus it was super hot yesterday. i would have done the same thing.

  5. I am only happy if it is between 71 and 76 degrees, either side of that and I will freak out. Also I ften change the thermostat 2 degrees multiple times a day. It drives Jeff crazy.

Also how amazing was SNL when it was Mike Myers and Chris Farley and that whole crew. I miss it.

  7. um, I'm at my Mum's in tulsa right now and i can't even imagine how much i would die if her airco went out for four hours. i blubber like a baby when i have to walk from the house to the car and vice versa. it is fucking miserable. everyone i know should move to socal (or norcal... or anywhere on the west coast where it is cooler). we could have a commune. you might hate the idea, but i love the idea of living in a commune with all my friends, in a perfect climate... ahhh.....haha.
