Selection Sunday and St. Patty's Day

ok so, this whole tv thing is going well, right? until i realize that today is SELECTION SUNDAY and March Madness is about to begin. and those games are TELEVISED. crap. AND Arkansas (though they lost to Florida today) got a 12 seed. And a 12 seed in THE DANCE is my absolute favorite seed. I think statistically, 12-5 seeded games yield the most upsets, right? i always try and support 12 seeds! so, anyway, here is my question: does basketball watching count as TV? Hmm.. i suppose so. crap. Well, thank god for the internet and espn.com i suppose. crap.

also, the time has come to start playing bono's sunday bloody sunday obsessively in preparation for st. patrick's day! (ok maybe some happier tunes as well - you know about getting drunk at funerals and weddings and various other occasions!) get your green (no orange for you) and get ready. grandpa cronin's homemade irish creme is coming your way! my dad sent me a rockin' st. patty's day CD. i AM ready.

Don't give up ANTM for basketball. Poor choice. :) Ha, ha. I'm ready for St. Patty's Day, too. Bring it on! We'll have to bust out the Salt N Pepa again....

what if you watch the games on the computer...technically that isn't watching tv.

by the way I hate march madness. I will partake in the bracketology but that is about it. Here comes the few weeks were I don't spend any time w/ my hubby.

Kat,
I'm sorry about TV and lent. Please come back to watch me.
Leslie, I wanted to say that I hate march madness too becuase I lose all my friends that month. I'm talking about my friends on my favorite shows -- Gray's annatomy and the Oc. All the shows are delayed.

take care and go hogs!

I don't think March Madness counts. There...you've been granted basketball privileges. Watching sports and especially playoffs is not the same as watching mindless T.V. shows. Not that I don't like watching mindless T.V. shows, but I don't think in giving up MM you are really accomplishing what you set out to do by giving up T.V (which is very impressive)....and I'm done.

Dear O'Horan,
I heard a dude say on one of the game shows that if you have red hair, you don't have to wear green on St. Patty's Day. Not that I have red hair, or that I'd pass up wearing green on its designated day, but I had never heard that. I figured you'd know.
Love,
O'Day
