two things.

1. i think it is time to retire my little piece of mouth jewelry. thoughts?

2. we are officially having a NYE2006 party at our place. if you are reading this, consider this your invite. i sent out an evite, but i didn't have everyone's email address. i know most people have plans already, but karl and i intend to have our own party even if no one shows! if YOU do decide to join us, you must bring:

  • drinks/beer
  • fun
  • a prop for our NYE2006 photobooth that we are setting up (you know how we do... we love pictures!) Examples of props: NYE hats... or any hats... specialty CELEBRATION party wear... inflatible animals... the sky is the limit people!

I have actually been battling with the same dilemma. Can't decide. On the one hand, I guess it is time to retire it, but on the other...I don't want to conform to this cubicle lifestyle. However, I guess I'm a little old to be a rebel...I don't even remember I still have it most of the time. I guess we can take them out and sent them to Liz!

I think we'd been friends for a couple months before I even noticed your tongue ring. I remember being shocked at seeing it for the first time. Now, it's so KAT! I don't know. I'm torn on my opinion here.

Hmm..I say, remove it. But, that's likely just b/c I am in a career that doesn't let me have any piercings other than my ears basically. LOL! Nah, seriously, I dont know. I mean.. it's SO you. Once you have kids, probably not so much, but right now, I just think it makes you look fun, interesting and creative..and I too didn't notice it initially anyway. Will ponder this... blog what you decide..

yeah i kinda agree. i like it, and i think part of what i like about it is that you are the only person i know with one that still has it, you know? but if you are tired of it or annoyed with it, then 86 it. the beauty of piercing the fastest-healing organ in the body!

If you get rid of it you are also getting rid of me as a friend. Remember that.

why not take it out. it'll feel weird at first but i gaurantee that you won't miss it.
then you'll start to wonder why you ever did it in the first place...

FYI : the hole in my tounge has never fully closed. the top and the bottom are still open (but not too deep) and it's been almost three years.

I had the same thought in the shower the other about my belly button piercing. If it's a question of age or appropriateness, I say leave it in. If you just don't like it anymore or if it's uncomfortable then take it out.

i think that you should leave it in and get your nose pierced.no need to conform.. you should rebel while you still can!!!or you could take it out and probably no one would notice.

i'm gettin my nose pierced after the wedding... been wanting to do it forever but Samuel asked me to wait until wedding pics were over. i say keep it in, but that's just me. boo-hoo that you are having a NYE party instead of coming to my wedding!!!

Since I had to live through you deciding to do it, doing it, and attempting to talk the first few weeks after, I say keep it if you still like it. If you are sick of it though, just take it out.
